Top 10 Worst Songs of 2015
There are a number of great hits from 2015 like ‘Uptown Funk’, ‘Hello’, ‘Lean On’, ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ and ‘Biscuits’, just to name a few. However, there are also tons of duds that really should not have been put on a track in the first place. Check out our the top 10 worst songs 2015:
10. Dooo It! – Miley Cyrus

Nowadays, Miley Cyrus has such a negative reputation, but this song just adds to the list of obnoxious antics that she continues to display. The lyrics of this song encourage listeners to try weed and the music is simply terrible. This song (and the entire album at large) are just another one of her ridiculous attempts to shock the world with rebellion. She is almost going too far this time.
9. AhHa – Nate Ruess

Unfortunately for Nate Ruess, this song is just plain odd. Most of his fans were not happy with this out of the box single saying it does not fit with his prior work. He laughs awkwardly at the beginning of the song, includes random noises in the background on occasion, and the overall flow of the song just does not quite flow properly. It’s not one of his best songs, that’s for sure.
8. Hoodie On – Matt and Kim

This song is pretty disappointing, starting with the dreadful lyrics. They do not work well together, it sounds like Matt and Kim just threw lines together without thinking about how they would relate to each other, and anyone above the age of 10 could write them. The music that was added to the lyrics makes the track even worse. It’s hard to listen to without wanting to cover your ears.
7. Downtown – Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

Downtown is not one of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ best work. The song is strange, yet familiar in the sense that it resembles their hit song ‘Thrift Shop’. ”Downtown is about buying mopeds, cruising around town, and hitting up bars. Overall the concept is just confusing. They have done much better in the past and we all expected more from this one.
6. Bitch, I’m Madonna – Madonna

Madonna did not do herself any favors with this song. Although she has several other high profile musicians in the video, this song itself is just terrible. A lot of people found this to be a desperate attempt for attention and somewhat abrasive. This is a case where the song just did not quite live up to the title or the legacy of the singer.
5. Pretty Girls – Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea

This collaboration was pure chaos. Brittany sounds terrible on the auto-tune, sounding more like a robot than anything else. The lyrics make the two of them seem self-absorbed and narcissistic. Iggy Azalea does not have a good reputation when it comes to collaborative work and, unfortunately, Pretty Girls is no exception.
4. Bitch Better Have My Money – Rihanna

Rihanna did not get the critical response she wanted out of this song. This one got mixed reviews because of the lyrics and cockiness portrayed. It is an irritating song that just plain pisses some people off. Besides the lacking lyrics, her vocals are not very good, and it is boring because of its repetitive nature. This is a tough song to listen to and it is unfortunate because she can and has produced much better.
3. Hit the Quan – iLoveMemphis
Image: http://genius.com
Once again, someone decided to make a song based on a dance. This one is bad, it is repetitive, long and it just does not work. Most critics of the song are annoyed by the end of the song and hate the lyrics. There is not much else to say about it.
2. I Really Like You – Carly Rae Jepsen

Image: https://en.wikipedia.org
Jepsen definitely missed the mark with this song. Although you can clearly tell she is more mature vocally, the lyrics are a disappointment. The song is somewhat annoying and for a woman her age the song sells to an age group far too young for her. She can do better with the maturity she has grown into vocally.
1. Dear Future Husband – Meghan Trainor

Image: https://en.wikipedia.org
Although the musicality is great, upbeat and fun, the lyrics have so much contradiction that you lose focus listening. This song has been criticized by many as an anti-feminist song and sexist. It has mixed reviews mainly because the song outlines what a man must do in order to get married. Not the best idea!
